Oh July 25th 2009, there was a Treasure Hunt event organized by Greendale Secondary which five students from 12 schools went to. (I think only 8 schools came)
Early in the morning, the five who were entrusted to go; Arshad, Nurizliana, Valerie, Shazli and Murni met at Macdonalds to have breakfast and proceeded to the school. The journey took a long time to reach. Once there, we took our temperatures (-.-) and noticed that we were super early. Thus, we had to wait.
And wait. Pictures of waiting available. (:

1) Valerie, talking to Arshad and Nuriz, just listening.
2) Arshad, busy stoning.
3) Shazli, trying to entertain us, but failed.

4) And me, making time fly by taking candid pictures of others.
5) Have I mentioned that Arshad was very bored?
6) I was snapping a picture of Valerie snapping me.
We saw Sir Wei Bin (?) [i forgot his name].
The friendly Sir who came to our Campfire and gave us his thoughtful speech.
After much wait, the treasure hunt finally started. Bedok Green was in Team 4.
We had to go to twelve stations, in which every one of them had a challenge. After we completed a task, we will be given our next clue. Some of them were, crawling; army style, at the bridge, under a lot of twines above. The three of us were blindfolded while the other two guided. It was really amazing.
Another one of the task were moving an orange from one point to another six times without using our body parts, only our cheeks. The oranges kept on slipping for 'some' people cause they were perspiring. Haha. The most funniest was the flour activity held in the canteen. In an aluminium tray full of flour, each one of us were to blow We were at the midst of giving up when we didn't know where to head next but we persevere and endured through it all.
We used two lifelines anyway. So three minutes was added for every lifeline used.
After completing all the twelve stations, we ran the hall only to find out Raffles Girls was first. We were second. Then we had our refreshments. We gulped down a lot of water. :D After we finished our food, I was fiddling with the cup and twisted it. The rest followed. The after effect was very cool.

It can be stacked. XP
So the results. *drumroll*
Bedok Green Secondary got THIRDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD! We received a trophy and a certificate.
While Raffles Girls School got Second and Bukit Panjang Govt. High got First.
We learned a lot from this event. It was wonderful and very creative. We would like to thank Greendale Secondary for organizing this. (:
Then we left for makan at Vivo.

This year's Area Games Day was hosted by Temasek Secondary School on 4Th April 2009, Saturday. This year's objective was not only to have the schools bond but to make every participant a winner. The day was filled with enthusiastic cadets cheering on and motivating one another despite the hot weather. Our cadets were both self-motivated and up for the games. They have definitely done us proud by showcasing their teamwork and capabilities. Well done! It was a tiring day for many but it was all for a good cause.

Aside from having fun & excitement our school also hosted a our game of modified soccer relevant to the theme of modified sports. It was a simple game and we are sure the cadets who played it had a wonderful time. The guest school for this event was Holy Innocents Secondary. Like our area's cadets, they were all charged up and ready for battle during the games.

A day of fun & games but most importantly a day of HONOUR for our Secondary 1 Cadets & our 2 New Cadet Inspectors, P/CI Afiq & P/CI Yao Ming. This special day was held at Bedok South Secondary School. Our New CIs & cadets swore in by reciting the pledge that was led by our Area(Instructors) Assistant Chairman.
Following this grand ceremony was the games & activities organised by the hosting school. A simple yet fun Frisbee competition. Our cadets were very enthusiastic as most of them wanted to participate.
Though we didn't win the competition our sec 1 cadets were able to bond well & definitely had some fun.
Eventually, the day had to come to an end. Our AC, Mr Asman (Bedok South NPCC), gave a speech that was uplifting and motivational. He brought up matters such as how does being an NPCC cadet has benefited people.
An example he gave was our Singapore Celebrity Gurmit Singh. Gurmit Singh is caring father and a popular & charismatic channel 5 artist with a good personality. He is who he is right now because he is a former NPCC Cadet.
Mr Asman's speech was definitely motivational & moving. After which he gave out the prizes to the first, second & third place and Temasek Secondary got the 1st prize.
Congratulations Temasek!
