17th Oct to 19th Oct was annual Sec. 3 Survival Camp and Sec. 2 ATC, it was yet another new experience for the Sec. 2s and 3s. Although it has not been the first time when the Sec. 2s and 3s had outdoor camping experience, it is still very different when we had to stay outdoor with some total strangers from other units.
It was a very nice campsite where we could take some really fresh air and it was the first time for some of the Sec. 2s to step foot in Pulau Ubin. We also got to know many CIs from other units. Although all the CIs were very strict with us, we were all ready perform and live up to the expectation.
We are so proud of the 2 Sec. 3 cadets who were the Best Female campers. They were our beloved Rowena and Jia Hui!! Congrats and we are glad to be led by impreesive cadets leaders like you.

On 16th August 2008, a sunny Saturday morning, 10 other NPCC Units came to Bedok Green for the Inter-Unit Soccer Competition.
Our team was training hard before the actual competition and all of the members were so anxious while meeting the opponents. It was finally our team to kick off the competition against the team from Chai Chee Sec. We did manage to get into sem-finals after all the strategies planned by all the team members, however we lost to the opponent before getting into finals.
Although we did not manage to get into finals, it was definitely a great day to meet so many NPCC Cadets from many other units, and even units all the way from Woodland. And we are thankful to have the opportunities to play a good host for other NPCC units.
Cheers to all the members representing Bedok Green NPCC and good games to all other participating units!

On 29th July 2008, we had our annual Passing Out Parade for our Sec. 4 Cadets. It is time to bid farewell and to show our appreciation and recognition for our graduating cadets.
We took pain to go through many rounds of training and rehearsal before this "BIG Day", just to wish that it would be flawless and memorable parade for the graduating cadets and the unit. We were rehearsing even up till the last hour before the actual parade. And our hard work has not gone to waste, it was a grand parade as we expected and we were really proud to have the new batch of SIs.
After the solemn parade, it was "makan time" and it was also time to say "bye bye" to the graduating cadets. We shook their hands one after another and all of us wish they would do well for the national exams!

After the Mid-Year Exam, June Holiday and all the NPCC Courses during the June Break, this is another major annual event for NPCC, the Service Day!
On 18th July 2008, our whole unit gathered at the parade square on the Friday afternoon for a short briefing by the Teacher Officers and we were all set to go!! The seniors led the juniors to the designated block of flats to spread the crime prevention message.
It was a meaningful experience for us and we felt proud to be in our NPCC Uniform and to spread the message to the neighbourhood. We have fulfilled our duties as a NPCC Cadet and a responsible member of public. It was also a memorable experience for the Sec. 1s especially, they could finally pluck out enough courage to talk to strangers, and to speak as an ambassador of crime prevention.
Although it was tiring to walk around the neighbouthood, to go door to door, it was no doubt a fulfilling experience that any NPCC Cadet would want to miss.

7th March 2008 was the last day of school for Term 1 and we were all ready for more adventure for the following days to come. It was our annual NPCC Sec.1 Camp followed by the Leadership Camp that was in place for the Sec.3 cadets to be groomed as effective leaders.
It was indeed an eye-opener for our Sec. 1 cadets who were still trying to adjust in the new secondary school and new practice in NPCC. There were a few of them who started to miss home after the first night, but we are proud to announce that there was no cadet who needed to go home half way through the camp! Our Sec. 1s had their fisrt outdoor camping experience, first shower in school's toilet, first outdoor cooking experience and the very first campfire. Their experience would not have been made possible without our Cadet leaders, CIs and Teacher Officers.
It was not an easy camping experience for our future cadet leaders either. They had to be scrutinised before being able to be selected as our leaders. The strings of stringent tests were all meant to select the "Best of the Best!", it was no easy task either and we were glad to have chosen our committed and competent leaders who would lead the unit for the rest of the year, as well as 2009. Congrats to the chosen Cadet Leaders!

On 29th Feburary 2008, Bedok Green Sec is very honoured to be the hosting school of this year's Sec. 1 NPCC Swearing-In ceremony. It is a precious opportunity for cadets from Area 10 to gather on this special day for great bonding among various units.
It is also a day to show our recognition and appreciation for our Area 10 CIs. This solemn and meaningful event would be be made possible without the help of our Area 10 CIs, and CIs from our unit have also gone the extra miles in planning.
After all the Sec. 1 cadets have taken the pledge and officially joined the NPCC family, it was finally the highlight of the event when OCs from all the units in Area 10 were invited on stage and all the OCs were handed a cup of coloured sand. A glass bottle was then passed while the OCs poured in the different coloured sand. This is to symbolise the unity of individual differences among the different units, and different individuals within the NPCC family.
